Places to Eat

There are so many places to eat locally we couldn’t list them all. However, here are a few recommendations:

Golf Complex – lots of restaurants and cafes. Olivios and Baybrooks are evening restaurants that serve quality English cuisine.
Algorfa – The Vicarage 
Benijofar – Lets Eat and El Gusto, La Cosecha Restaurant (Benijofar)
Los Montesinos – La Posada (Italian), Punjabi Palace (Indian), and Casa Pila (Spanish) – great food and reasonably priced.
During July and August we would certainly recommend that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Beaches to visit

Too many to mention but here’s a few to consider.
Playa de las Mil Palmeras – Large car park right next to the beach – about 20 minutes south on the AP-7
Guardamar del Segura (15 mins drive) – Wonderful long beach to the south of the town which stretches right along to the marina where you can get coffees etc. The beach is right next to lots of cafes and restaurants
La Mata (15 mins drive) – Just north of Torrevieja – you can park in La Mata and there is a lovely long beach and a long promenade with restaurants and café bars (nice walk).  

Retail Therapy

Habaneras – This can be found on the main road into Torrevieja. It is a small but well equipped shopping mall. Its next to a huge Carrefour supermarket. There is also a large water park close buy where you could spend a full day there.
Zenia Boulevard – This is much bigger shopping mall with lots of brand shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. Free parking (including underground). Sometime a good place to go when you have had enough sun or at night (late night opening hours). Its about 15 minutes away on the AP-7 South towards Cartagena.
